Commitment to People and Planet
Purpose
At Isabelle Pennington-Edmead, responsibility is woven into every stitch. We believe fashion should celebrate individuality without compromising the planet or its people. Our purpose is to create vibrant, hand-painted designs that are as conscious as they are bold proving that thoughtful choices and distinctive style can coexist beautifully.
Principles
Three core values guide everything we do: transparency, circularity, and respect. We believe you deserve to know the full story behind your clothing, which is why every garment comes with a digital product passport tracing its journey from fibre to finished piece. We design for longevity and renewal, transforming deadstock fabrics and offcuts into new creations rather than waste. And we honour nature through low-impact materials and carbon offsetting, people through ethical production and fair wages, and craft through intentional, mindful making in our solar-powered North West England studio.
Priorities
Our environmental commitments centre on carbon accountability and conscious material choices. We track our carbon footprint using Carbon Sink and offset it through tree planting with Ecologi, while operating our studio entirely on solar energy. Every fabric is carefully selected organic cottons, certified recycled fibres, or deadstock—and paired with natural mother-of-pearl or bioresin buttons and recycled zips. Our circular approach means offcuts become accessories, scraps fuel creative workshops, and garments find new life through our partnership with Loom for upcycling and repair. All packaging is recycled and fully recyclable.
Socially, we prioritise transparency and education. Each made-to-order piece is crafted personally by Isabelle, so you always know exactly who made your clothing. Our factory partners are audited by Fast Forward, SMETA certified, and Living Wage registered. We actively share knowledge through community workshops on recycling, upcycling, and mindful consumption, believing that collective action creates lasting change.
Economically, we’ve built a model that eliminates waste before it begins. Our made-to-order approach means zero overproduction, while our partnership with HURR extends the life of samples and any surplus through rental. GOTS-certified fabrics ensure material integrity, and our digital product passports provide complete traceability alongside guidance for care, repair, and responsible end-of-life disposal.
Promises
In the future I would like to achieve b corp certification. We commit to measurable progress toward a regenerative future. We will reduce our carbon footprint through localised supply chains and expanded renewable energy use. By 2027, we will achieve full material traceability for every garment. By 2030, we will operate as a fully circular brand, with every product designed for return, reuse, or recycling. This journey is an ongoing conversation with our customers, partners, and the planet together, we’re designing fashion’s more responsible future.
