Ready to Wear vs Made to Order vs Bespoke

Understanding the differences between bespoke, made to order, and ready to wear can feel overwhelming especially when you’re trying to make thoughtful decisions about how and where your clothing is made. We believe in transparency, so below you’ll find a clear breakdown of each service we offer, what it means, and why each process takes the time it does.

Ready to Wear

What is it?

Ready to wear pieces are already made and available in standard sizes.

How do we do it?

These garments are produced in small batches. Each one is designed with the same attention to detail and quality as our made-to-order pieces.

Why it matters?

It is ideal when timing matters, without compromising on craftsmanship or design.

These pieces are produced in small, thoughtful runs and are available for immediate purchase. While they don’t require the lead time of bespoke or made to order, they are created with the same commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and sustainability.

Made to Order

What is it?

Made to order means your piece is made especially for you. It is not sitting on a rail or held in large quantities.

How do we do it?

Once your order is placed, we begin making your garment. Each piece is cut and sewn individually in our studio. We focus on careful construction and beautiful finishing.

Why it matters?

Your garment feels more personal and more considered. It is made with intention, not excess. This approach allows for better fit, less waste and a slower, more thoughtful way of dressing.

Made to order pieces are created specifically for you once your order is placed. Rather than being mass-produced, each garment is cut and made in your selected size, reducing waste and ensuring a more considered approach to production. This process takes longer than ready to wear, as your piece is crafted individually.

Bespoke

What is it?

Bespoke is a completely personalised service. Every detail is created around you.

How do we do it?

We work closely with you throughout the process. Measurements are taken and design details are discussed. Your garment is drafted and made from scratch to suit your body and your vision. Because of this these patterns can't be used again which is also reflected in the price.

Why it matters?

The result is something truly unique. A piece that reflects you and fits beautifully. Bespoke allows time, care and individuality to take centre stage.

Our most personal service. Bespoke pieces are designed and created entirely around you from initial consultation and fabric selection to fittings and final construction. Every detail is considered, and each garment is crafted individually, which is why this process requires the greatest level of time and care.

We hope this guide helps you better understand how your garment comes to life and why time, care, and intention are central to everything we create.
