When I joined the EVO Fashion Course, I didn’t quite know what to expect, I just knew I wanted clarity, direction and a stronger foundation for my fashion journey. What I found was a challenging, but supportive programme that reshaped how I think about my work and my place in the fashion industry.

The course is hosted by Fashion District at The Trampery Fish Island Village in East London, a creative hub that instantly makes you feel part of something bigger. EVO is designed for emerging designers, fashion brands and fashion tech founders who are building early-stage businesses and want practical, real-world fashion industry training. It’s structured to fit around existing work, which made it feel realistic rather than overwhelming.

From the very first launch intensive, the focus was clear: this isn’t just about design, it’s about building a viable, responsible fashion business. Throughout the programme, we explored sustainable and circular business models, environmental and social governance, communications, investment readiness and founder wellbeing. Each session felt intentional and rooted in the realities of the fashion course UK landscape.

What stood out most was how practical everything was. Instead of abstract theory, we worked through real challenges within our own brands. The workshops, mentoring sessions and peer discussions pushed me to ask harder questions about sustainability and long-term impact. As an emerging designer, that kind of honest reflection is invaluable.

Being part of Cohort 3 was one of the highlights of the experience. The group was made up of designers, innovators and founders all approaching fashion from different angles, but with shared values around responsibility and innovation. Learning alongside them reminded me how powerful community is in such a competitive industry. The conversations, feedback and mutual support were just as valuable as the formal teaching.

What makes the EVO Fashion Course different is that it feels human. It recognises that building a fashion brand is complex both creatively, financially and emotionally. The course doesn’t just prepare you for industry expectations; it helps you define your own version of success.

Looking back, EVO gave me more than skills. It gave me confidence, clarity and a renewed sense of purpose.
